THE PAST:

Giuseppe Salvatore surely wasn’t expecting any more children after already being blessed with two sons, but when his wife sat him down and confessed that she was pregnant once again, he couldn’t be any happier. However, to his disappointment, the boy he had wished to have again turned out to be a healthy baby girl. The day Faye was born was also the same day her mother passed away. Doctors blamed blood loss for the cause of her death, but Giuseppe knew that Faye was the one responsible. Devastated and outraged, he sent the newborn child to a faraway town and had her put into an orphanage.

It wasn’t until Faye reached the ripe age of 10 that she was adopted by a friendly couple who treated her as if she was truly part of their family. They changed her last name to Bellafonte, moved to New York City, and that was pretty much the beginning of the best years of her life. Considering her new parents were practically made of money, everything was handed to her on a silver platter — fancy dresses, rich friends, good reputations… And when Kol Mikaelson made an appearance in her life on the day of her 17th birthday, she fell completely head over heels in love with the mystery man. It didn’t take long for the two to hit it off as soon as they caught each others’ eyes at the pub, but once they did, they went hard. He was dangerous, reckless, intoxicating, and Faye was irresistibly mesmerized by him. Hooking up, yelling at each other, and hooking up again almost became a weekly routine, and even though everybody believed that they weren’t compatible for each other (both controlling, both fierce, both dominant), she continued to pursue her relationship with the bad boy, despite her parents’ dislike towards him.

New York City, 1867. Faye ‘Bellaforte’ was found dead in the middle of the road on January 23, 8:35 PM. The man who discovered her body immediately checked her pulse and ran to the nearest police station to report her death, but when they all returned, she was gone. She soon became the talk of the town. Where was her body? Who killed her? Questions piled up over another as havoc hit the city by storm. But Faye wasn’t dead. Well, in a sense, sure, but emotionally? She was alive and pissed. All she remembered was taking a nightly stroll with Kol one moment and then having her neck snapped the next. When she opened her eyes, she ran like hell and returned to her home. That night, she lost control over the sudden impulse of hunger and completed her transformation by feeding on her parents, morphing into something she never imagined was possible — a vampire.

Faye immediately fled town after reality set in and went from city to city, not wanting anybody to recognize her identity back in New York. Her bitterness only boiled stronger when flashbacks of Kol compelling her to drink his blood appeared in her memories. The more she started to remember, the angrier she got. And so she kept running.

THE PRESENT:

Years breezed by since Faye Salvatore was turned, and she now has everything under lock — how to control her thirst, how to blend in without being caught, how to compell people, etc… It’s surprising, even for herself, that she decided to come visit Mystic Falls out of all the places she could’ve turned to, but it almost seemed as if something was luring her in. Telling herself that this trip is just for shits and giggles and that she’d move on the second she got bored, she has no idea about how wrong she is. Only arriving a few days ago, Faye still hasn’t made an attempt to explore just yet. Things seem a little off, and the brunette finds it strange that there’s a sense of nostalgia to the town, despite it being her first time coming here. She has no clue that she has brothers and grew up thinking that she was the only child. There’s bitterness when she thinks about the parents that gave her up, but also a hint of curiosity. There’s not a day goes by that she doesn’t wonder who they really were.

KOL MIKAELSON - The two previously had a romantic relationship prior to Faye’s death. Faye was blinded by his charms, and while Kol was impressed by her sharp tongue and fierceness, he was only using her as a blood bag. Before leaving New York City, he decided to turn her into a vampire so that they would run into each other in the future. Kol isn’t one to turn down fun.

STEFAN & DAMON SALVATORE - Damon was there to witness the birth of Faye in the hospital, but he and Stefan was later informed by their father that she didn’t ‘last long’. Believing she was dead for all these years, they both never bothered to bring it up again. The one thing they know is her name.
